About your Instructors

Dr. Ritamarie Loscalzo

Dr. Ritamarie LoscalzoDr. Ritamarie Loscalzo began her career in natural wellness as a result of her journey back to health from a state of adrenal fatigue and toxicity related illness. As a result of an intensive detoxification program and strict adherence to a fresh, vegan whole foods diet, Dr. Ritamarie began to experience a level of health far beyond that which she'd ever dreamed possible.

She has earned a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree with Certification in Acupuncture, and is a Diplomat of the American Clinical Nutrition Board. She is a Certified Clinical Nutritionist, with a Master of Science in Human Nutrition. She is also certified as a living foods chef, instructor, and coach and holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.

Dr. Ritamarie incorporates ancient healing wisdom with modern functional medicine to gently ignite your inner healer in a way that's fresh and fun. Her articles have appeared in Natural Awakenings, Purely Delicious, Journal of Nutritional Perspectives and many online publications. She is the founder of the International Association of Online Holistic Nutrition Providers (AOLNP) and the author of several books and is a sought after speaker. Dr. Ritamarie's practice is based on her belief that you'll experience true health to the extent that you integrate fun and enjoyment with fresh foods, thoughts, air, water, and relationships.

Chef Alicia Ojeda

Chef Alicia OjedaChef Alicia Ojeda is an amazing classically trained professional chef, who is passionate about gourmet vegan raw and living food cuisine.

Her culinary background includes both cooked and raw cuisine. She was most recently the Production/R&D Coordinator for Roxanne's Fine Cuisine. Prior to that, she was the Executive Chef, Café Manager and one of the lead Instructors at Living Light Culinary Arts Institute.

At Bon Appétit Management Company she was the Executive Chef for DreamWorks Studio and Chef Manager for Sony Music.

Alicia now resides in Austin, Texas and is teaching classes in the Hudson Bend/ 620 area of Lake Travis. She has just joined the team of Beets Living Foods Cafe (opening in Summer 2009).
