Background:

As they grow older, many women struggle to lose weight. Unlike many men their age, they may also suffer from sleep problems, osteoporosis, and depression. Many women may even feel like they age less slowly and gracefully than their male counterparts.

While there is ample discussion in the medical community about the effects of estrogen loss, few people are aware of the importance of sufficient testosterone levels in women. A healthy dosage helps women slim down, improves their mood, lowers the risk of cardiac disease, increases energy and libido, prevents osteoporosis, enhances skin tone and texture, and may even prevent cognitive decline—yet more than 90 percent of women over age forty-five suffer from low testosterone levels.

Join Dr. Ritamarie and Dr. Tami as they discuss cutting-edge research and strong scientific evidence to give you some of the information you need to balance your hormones and improve your vitality for a strong and healthy life.

Tami protrait28530.CR2.pTami Meraglia, M.D., more commonly known as “Dr. Tami” to her patients and fans, is double board certified in Cosmetic and Integrative Medicine. She is Medical Director of the Vitality Medical Clinic in Seattle, Washington where her practice focuses on hormonal science and ways to boost and balance hormones through nutrition, targeted supplements, real life stress tools, and more.

Previously, Dr. Meraglia has been a noted contributor to Unleash the Power of the Female Brain by Daniel Amen, M.D., published in February 2013.

Dr. Meraglia also speaks at many national conferences including the World Congress of Aesthetic in Miami and Anti-Aging Medicine and the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine in Singapore, where she talked about bioidentical hormones and anti-aging.

Additionally, she has appeared on daily segments of “Healthlink” with King 5 News during their prime time news.  Dr. Tami has also appeared on Good Morning America as well as Fox News.

From seeing patients in her clinic in Seattle, all over the world via Skype, and by phone appointment through her virtual medical clinic, Dr. Tami has learned the issues and concerns that affect us all. Using her research, Dr. Tami has recently written a book on hormones, The Hormone Secret. The Hormone Secret’s purpose is to fill the gap preventing society from developing a workable system for treating hormonal imbalances. It provides women tools and knowledge that they have never had before about the importance of hormones and what hormonal balance does for them. The book is available now for pre-order and will be in all major bookstores April 14 2015.

Aside from being a busy MD, Dr. Meraglia resides in Seattle as an active daughter, wife, and mother of two grade-school girls.
