Kevin Gianni on the Raw Food Diet for Vibrant Health

We had an amazing display of what delicious and beautiful foods you can eat on a raw foods diet.  Tables were lined with foods of all sorts – salads, wraps, pie, marzapan, fruits, guacamole, dips and chips…the list goes on.  Most people expect  a raw foods diet to be boring, but tonight’s amazing display proves otherwise.

Kevin Gianni an his wife Annmarie were our special guests tonight.  They’ve been traveling across the nation in their vegetable oil powered RV, the Kale Whale, spreading the word of health.  Kevin did an inspiring talk and presented his model of health:  raw foods as the primary nutrition, know yourself, take action  …the other 2 are escaping my brain right now.  He was entertaining, empowering and right on.  Annmarie demonstrated making a delicious chia porridge and a strawberry parfait.  Quick and easy raw foods recipes.

Raw and Living Foods For Vibrant Health and Maximum Energy Guests Annmarie and Kevin Gianni

I’m in the process of leading a group of 14 women through a 90 day program to help them overcome chronic fatigue and create vibrant energy to  empower them to live the life of their dreams in the body of their dreams.

To say that I am passionate about working with women who’ve been held back by chronic fatigue would be an understatement.

I become discouraged as I watch women be told that there’s nothing they can do about adrenal fatigue and chronic exhaustion.  You may have been lead to believe that you must learn to live with it, pace yourself, take drugs to help you sleep and drink caffeine to wake you up.

The truth is there is another way.

Learn to truly nourish yourself from the inside out.  Choosing plenty of fresh, whole and green, living plant  foods provides your body with an abundance of nutrients to protect you from the stresses of modern life.

Taking pause and refresh breaks, breathing deeply and avoiding energy zapping foods is majorly important in recharging your battery.

Cleansing and detoxification, fresh foods, positive attitude and nurturing relationships, combined with balancing hormones, optimizing digestion and optimizing your immune system are cornerstones of my counseling and coaching practice.

I’m thrilled and excited to welcome a very special couple to Austin.  They have been spreading the message of vibrant health through self care for several years, and have done a wonderful job of bringing together experts in the field of nutrition and fitness.  Now they are traveling the nation in a vegetable powered RV by the name of Kale Whale, spreading the word of the healing powers of fresh whole, green and alive plant foods.

On March 18, 2009, Kevin and Annmarie Gianni of Renegade Health will be making a special guest appearance in Austin for a raw potluck and a presentation.

Green Cleansing Programs for Jumpstarting Low Energy

We started the mini green cleansing program today.  Actually, I started Tuesday evening.  No meals, just green smoothies.  Not only does it save time on meal preparation and cleanup, but it dramatically decreases the time spent eating.  For me, that means increased productivity and more time for fun.  And it’s the perfect cure for low energy.

I announced the “DrRitamarie ‘sMini Green Cleanse” Tuesday morning and by evening over 120 people had signed up.  By this afternoon we had almost 150 participants.

I usually lead 7 day cleanses, but I’d been thinking about offering a 3 and 5 day option as well.  I think it gives people a good way to start out.

Next year, I’ll be offering a one month coaching program to guide you to give your diet a Green Lift.  It will guide gently through diet changes and have a 7 day green cleanse in the middle.  That way, you’ll be able to ease in and are less likely to experience the  uncomfortable cleansing reactions that are sometimes experienced by participants.

So just what is a Green Cleanse and what exactly are we cleansing?

I’ll post more on that later.  But now, I need to sign-off and get some sleep.
