30 Day Sleep and Fun Challenge: Day 2

by | 6 comments

I am excited by all the enthusiastic response to the 30 Day Sleep and Fun Challenge and Daily commitment to Health!  Making commitments to others and publicly declaring them seems to be so motivating and helps you get in touch with what really matters.

Last night I made it to the bedroom by midnight and lights were out by 12:15.  My husband came in at 12:30 and said I was sound asleep!  Not 100% there yet close, and I'm excited by it.  Remember, instead of beating yourself up if you came close to a commitment, applaud yourself for getting close and strengthen your commitment to get even closer.  Use it as an opportunity to reflect on what you could do to get even closer.

My commitments for today:

1- Shut down the computer no later than 11:30, lights out by midnight

2- drink 2 quarts of green smoothie.  I have already had 1

3- Exercise for at least 30 minutes

FOR Fun:   Water color paint for 5 minutes (ok, lame, but 5 minutes is easy.  It will likely be longer)

What are you committed to?  Post below.

Love, Health and Joy to you,

Dr. Ritamarie

    1. Pay attention to digestion: pause before I eat, chew thoroughly, eat slowly.
    2. eat clean all day
    3. Read a magazine for a half hour

Can someone post a recipe for a green smoothie that doesn’t have (much) fruit. I need low glycemic. Thanks

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Not too bad yesterday! I consciously chewed my food- mostly anyway big improvement. I did have a little bit of nuts because my friend brought over something she had made for me and it had some almond butter in it. But I didn’t binge. spent less time on computer and tried to consciously get off when I finished what I had to do. Same commitments for today:
-not eat nuts( except finishing off the last of my friends salad from yesterday)
    -chew food
-live my life instead of wasting time on computer~

I’m excited to actually be improving on things that I have been wanting to implement for months!!

Oh in response to the no fruit smoothie request: I am on a candida diet so no fruit for me and this is what i make every morning.

    No Fruit Smoothie
leafy greens- I rotate kale, spinach, chard etc
    1/2 lime or lemon juiced
    2-3 ribs celery
    1/2 cucumber
big handful of cilantro or parsley
    4-5 drops liquid stevia
    sprinkle kelp or dulse flakes
    water
usually thats it. the stevia and lemon really help cut down on the “green” taste. Sometimes I add tomato, hot pepper or dill.
