Raw Food Delivery

Get a yummy weekly delivery made by the amazing Chef Karen Osborne. This week's order has to be in by November 14th. Wait until you see her mouth-watering menu!

Tip of the Week:
Take the time to breathe!
When you eat on the run and don't slow down and appreciate the food, you are in the “fight and flight” nervous system, which turns off digestion.
When you breathe and appreciate before each meal, you shift to the “rest and digest” part of your nervous  system, and your digestion is more efficient this way.  Give it a try!

Travel, Holidays and Maintaining Your Energy
Hi Health-Seeker,

It's almost mid November and in just a couple of weeks we will be celebrating Thanksgiving in the US, Hanukkah starts right around the same time, and Christmas will follow soon thereafter, and we'll be heading into a new year. This is the time of year where many people who have been doing great with their health regimes start to slack off.

Parties, family celebrations, things competing for your already limited free time tend to distract you from making healthy meals, exercising and in general taking care of yourself.

Now it's more important than ever to commit to your self care.

In a few days, we'll announce a free resource to help you stay true to yourself throughout the holidays, filled with strategies and recipes to prevent you from having to make another New Year's Resolution that's too hard to keep!

In the meantime, check out our special of the month.  It's a Thanksgiving recipe e-book I created a few years ago, with festive recipes you can make as  alternatives to the typical Thanksgiving fare. Check it out HERE.

The special discounted price of $10 will automatically show when you select “add to cart”.

I thought I was going to be home till Thanksgiving, but 2 colleagues invited me to events that I couldn't pass up, so as you read this I am in California, then on to Phoenix before coming home for a week and heading to Chicago for Thanksgiving.

After that I will be back in California for a week in early December.  It's all good, and I have special strategies for staying healthy on the road.

I shared those on VITAL community webinars, and the recordings are part of the huge library of healthy living resources you can access at Vital Community Resources

And if you are a practitioner, please be sure to register for our webinar happening tonight:

The Nutritional Endocrinology Revolution: The Health Practitioner’s Case-Solving Key to Unlocking the Door to Success

With so much love and appreciation,

The 5 Sneaky Culprits Behind Why You Feel So Exhausted All the Time

Are you suffering from adrenal burnout and fatigue? Low thyroid function? Chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia?

Do you have as much energy as you’d like to have?

overcoming exhaustion and burnout

Imagine for a moment:

What would you do if you had more energy?

Think about what it would be like  to pop out of bed in the morning, bright, cheery and ready for the day.

As you go through your day, you feel energized by your food, your conversations, your work and your activities. When asked by a friend or family member to participate in a fun evening activity, you always say yes, without fear of losing steam at the end of the day, and being too tired to do much more than flop on the couch.

You participate in activities you love, eat healthy meals, exercise and are fully present for your relationships. You never hear yourself utter the words, “I’m too tired.”  Instead you say, “I feel so energized.”

Sound like a romantic fiction novel? This life is possible for you, if you know where to look…

Fatigue, exhaustion, tiredness, weariness, low energywhatever you choose to call it, a serious problem and it overcoming exhaustion and burnout happens to real people like you. There are many causes. Some are obvious, others not so obvious.  Continue Reading..

3 Mistakes Holistic Practitioners Make –

that keep them from getting great results with complex cases and  growing a thriving practice

Well, you've probably heard the buzz about my new webinar that's happening tonight, where I am going to share strategies you can put into place right away to solve the tough cases that tend to deflate your confidence!

You know the clients I am talking about, right?

They tell you they've been to other practitioners, been trying to heal themselves for years and they are coming to you, because they are tired of conventional medicine and heard that nutrition might be the answer. You listen to the complexities of their case, and you think “how am I going to be able to help?”  worse, you struggle with where to even start, so you just begin where you always do.

You ask for a diet diary, and are shocked to discover they are doing many of the things you often suggest – like eating salads, drinking  greens, eating organic foods and exercising.

“Now what?” you think.

If you've ever been in this situation, you know the frustration and  confusion it causes.

But what if you had a deeper understanding of how things work “in there”.

What if you could systematically unravel the puzzle?

On the webinar tonight, I will help you to begin to do just that.

And I'll go into detail about the 3 top mistakes I've seen practitioners make and how to begin to correct them.

1- Not asking the “right” questions

2- Not having a step by step system to unravel the mystery and apply sound nutrition and lifestyle protocols

3- Not having a deep enough understanding of the complex web of hormone imbalances that are generally at the heart of those tough cases and how to apply nutrition to bring hormones in balance

Because hormone imbalances are not just about the reproductive hormones, estrogen, progesterone and testosterone, people are often surprised to discover that things like low energy, skin rashes, mood swings and brain fog are intimately connected to hormone balance.

I will go into detail about hormone interconnections on the webinar.

Become a leading edge practitioner who knows how to dig deep.  The results you'll get with clients will be so amazing that they will be telling everyone they know about you.

Talk to you soon!

  No Bake Apple Pie

Surprise your guests this Thanksgiving with a low fat, gluten-free, hassle free apple pie that is simply delicious! Did I mention it takes only minutes to prepare?!

Ingredients Pie Crust:IMG_1359

  • ¼ cup of chia seeds (white or black) soaked in 1/2 cup of water for about 15 minutes
  • 1/3 cup hazelnuts (not necessary to soak them)
  • ½ cup or more shredded coconut
  • 1/3 cup raw almonds
  • 1 cup pitted dates (or extra soaked chia seeds plus stevia for low glycemic version)
  • few drops of almond extract

Ingredients Filling:

  • Apples (as many as needed to fill the crust)
  • Cinnamon – a couple of teaspoons
  • Lemon juice – from 1/2 to 1 fresh lemon, to taste

  1. Combine crust ingredients in food processor and process until it holds together as a dough. Add extra coconut or other grated nuts if mixture is too sticky.
  2. Press dough into pie pan (you can use half of the crust for a 9″ pie pan), lightly dust with coconut flakes and set aside while you are preparing the apple filling.
  3. Core apples and gently process them in food processor. Make sure you don't over process them, otherwise your filling will turn into apple sauce.
  4. Add cinnamon and a splash of lemon juice, and spread on top of your pie crust. Decorate it with apple slices, cinnamon, soaked goji berries, and your choice of tasty and pretty fresh foods.
Serve and Enjoy!
