I have adrenal burn out (this I know from not only the list of symptoms and maladies which are much more pronounced and varied than are usually listed – as it is pretty debilitating; but also from how it occurred. I had noticed the problems mounting for about a year and a half, during which I was not good to my body, and under an inordinate amount of stress and I caught a virus in Thailand which in my weakened state blew me out completely; I was more or less bed ridden for over six months, neither sleep nor proper nutrition did anything to help; until I discovered Body Talk. Which for anyone else out there suffering from similar issues – it’s worth a try. I was moving around within a couple of weeks, the joint pain went away, and I required far less sleep.
Granted, I’m still not anywhere near the vibrant health I used to possess and I don’t know if or when I will be but this made an enormous difference in my quality of life.
For now, I just try to eat healthy & regularly, get enough sleep (which can be a challenge with adrenal burn out, as the mind can get pretty wired late at night) and try to stay as stress free as possible… which basically means that I have no life – no social life, no work life, and extracurricular life. School is challenge enough in my present condition and I still have to take naps through out the day to get through it…
I would like to know if there is anything else I can do to improve besides “eat right, and sleep well” – because I do that already to the nth degree. Those two things are my highest priorities in life now and I really don’t know how much longer I can continue in this depressing vein. Especially since I’m still gaining weight and that makes it even more difficult to have even a modicum of a social life with what little energy (and joy) I have left or can muster…

As a side note, I am only twenty two, I’m hoping that with my age a full recovery is possible? Please tell me you’ve seen full recoveries?

I forgot to mention some supplements which have helped tremendously –
“From Fatigued to Fantastic” (it has all of the recommended vitamins and minerals x ten in order to recover, and I’ve noticed appreciable effects on my energy from it).
Another is Acetyl-carnitine, and L-carnintine – both of which help prevent edema and boost energy.
And for sleep I use “Calm and Relaxed” by Thompson, which is a magnesium and herbal blend that works better than even Melatonin (or me anyways). Everyone’s body is different, so all of these supplements came from thousands of dollars and many months of trial and error, but perhaps they’ll help others as well.
