Creating Your Vision Board

by | 0 comments

In the June 2010 issue of O Magazine, Martha Beck (Oprah’s go-to life coaching gal) wrote an article called ‘The Vision Thing.’ It is all about the process of creating a vision board, and why they work.  In it she states, “To really work, a vision board has to come not from your culture but from your primordial, nonsocial self – the genetically unique animal/angel that contains your innate preferences.”

As we discuss in Chapter 4 of Vibrant Health Mindset, the process of creating a vision board unleashes the creativity necessary to transform your dream or goal into a vision the sub-conscious can hook into.  These deeply embedded mind-pictures then guide you towards goal-fulfilling choices.

Find it hard to believe?  That’s okay.  Like Martha Beck suggests, just try it as a lark, or an experiment even.  Have fun with it knowing you are bound to at least learn something about yourself in the process!
