Here is an adrenal-loving mushroom soup that is very quick and easy to prepare, even when you don’t have the energy to cook.

This delicious, creamy soup is super easy to make when you just don’t feel like you have the energy to make dinner. Just throw half in the blender, blend until smooth, then add your delicious mushrooms and rinsed arame.

Brazil nuts are very high in selenium which is a crucial mineral that plays a vital role in supporting healthy adrenal and thyroid function, aiding in the production of adrenal hormones, and protecting against oxidative stress. Just two Brazil nuts a day meet the daily RDA for selenium.

Garlic and onions not only add wonderful flavor, but they are also alliums, which support adrenal health by reducing inflammation, boosting immune function, and enhancing overall well-being. They are also high in different forms of sulfur, which aid in cardiovascular health, bone health, blood sugar control, and detoxification.

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup water
  • 4 Brazil nuts
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic granules
  • 4 teaspoons shiitake mushroom powder
  • 4 tablespoons Irish Moss gel
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast optional
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup arame
  • 2 cups diced mushrooms

Instructions
 

  • Blend all ingredients, except the arame and the mushrooms, in a high-speed blender until smooth.
  • Rinse the arame.
  • Stir in the arame and the mushrooms.
  • Let the soup sit for at least 5 minutes.

Notes

For added nutrition add 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon of Blue Green Algae powder and 1 – 2 teaspoons of Spirulina Powder.
If you prefer a warm soup, set the finished soup in the dehydrator for 30 minutes or lightly sauté the mushrooms, then pour the blended portion on top.
