Hi Health-Seeker,

Now that summer is here in full swing, I have been thinking a lot about fun and play, and how important they are for health and healing.

Both of my kids are home for summer.  My 19 year old will be home until early August, and just got a job life guarding at a big natural spring fed pool.  He is enjoying that.

My youngest turns 15 today and is ready to get his drivers permit.  It seems only yesterday that his brother was doing the same, and now he’s off to college.  In just 3 years, we’ll likely have a quiet household for 9 months of the year!  They were babies such a short time ago.  While it’s a joy to see them grow up and become independent, I feel a little pinch of longing for holding them in my arms and giggling with them!

I am excited about what we have in store for you this week.

Today’s article is about a very important topic and was submitted by Yvette Benoit, a student in my Energy Recharge Practitioner Certification Program.

I’ve written previously about the importance of iodine for thyroid health.  This article reviews the importance of iodine for breast and overall health.

When most people think of iodine, they think of the thyroid gland.  And about how you need enough iodine for your thyroid gland to prevent developing a goiter, a very enlarged thyroid gland.  What very few people know is that you also need iodine for healthy breast tissue.

Insulin Resistance Home Assessments

In my B4 Be Gone program, I teach people how to monitor their own blood sugar, chart it, and track improvements as they employ my proven system for reversing insulin resistance and achieving a flat belly, clear mind, and energetic body.

I am always surprised to discover how few of my colleagues actually know how to test blood sugar at home, how to chart it, and what the patterns mean.

That’s part of the reason I created my Insulin Resistance Solution Practitioner’s Training.

If you want to become proficient at helping people with blood sugar issues, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, or diabetes, learn to test your own blood sugar.  Purchase a glucometer at any pharmacy or online at .  This is the one I use and recommend:

Test Strips:

Keep your fasting blood sugar in the 70’s or 80s and your postprandial blood sugar (after eating) at 110 or below for best results.

Spicy Tomato Green Soup:

4 tomatoes
1 head kale
1 lemon, juice of
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 sliver of jalapeño
1/4 small onion


Blend all ingredients until smooth and adjust liquids to desired consistency.
