Welcome to March, Health-Seeker!

I am so excited to have Spring right around the corner. If you've been on my newsletter list for a while, you know that I LOVE the warm weather. And we are blessed today, Monday, with an amazing sunny day with temperatures at 86! It will be dropping back down to 70 tomorrow, so I am off for a run so I can enjoy summer, if only for a day!

I've been so busy lately with all the events we have going on. The Green Cleanse prep week is now underway and the official start is next Monday. I am looking forward to a cleanse to get me leaner and lighter for Spring.

We are just wrapping up our B4 Be Gone program, and have all sorts of great stories pouring in! I managed to get between 8 and 10 hours of sleep almost every night since February 1. Wow! And my blood sugar shows it!

My first big 3-day live event, Spring Into Vitality, is happening in 2 ½ weeks, so I am very busy with that.

Both Vitamix and Excalibur just donated equipment – a Vitamix high speed blender and an Excalibur dehydrator – to be raffled at Spring Into Vitality! We're planning to give each attendee a raffle ticket. Additional ones will be available to attendees for purchase, and all proceeds will be donated to the Miracle League, one of my favorite charities for children.

Wow – it's all coming together.

On top of everything else, I taught an all day webinar to my holistic health practitioners on Saturday, about assessments for Digestion and Immune system, and we have another all day webinar this coming Saturday on Adrenal and Thyroid healing.

It's very exciting!

And, in addition to that, I am so grateful for – and I will admit, a tiny bit nervous – about a spring break service trip my son is doing in the Yucatan part of Mexico. He and 10 other students will provide assistance to a village community service group that provides assistance to the elderly, school aged kids, hospice and more. He's excited.

Last week, I started a blog series about well-being that mentioned four areas of focus:

  1. Fun
  2. Fitness
  3. Food
  4. Flexibility

The first in the series, The Physiology of Fun, covered how important it is to have laughter and fun in your life. For this article, I'd like to focus on FOOD. A specific food in particular, that makes life sweeter and many “fun” things are associated with it: sweeteners.

Face it. Sweet stuff is really appealing…and addicting. You probably know by now that sugar contributes to just about every major disease.

Perhaps you turn to sweetened desserts to make up for lack of sweetness in other aspects of your life. Or maybe you just enjoy the taste. In any case, you deserve some sweetness in your life…every day! So be sure to get some, whether from food or from the special people and relationships in your life. And wouldn't it be great to get the sweetness you deserve without compromising your health?

Here's a great GREEN recipe for March from the above Deliciously Quick Lunch and Dinner Ideas e-Book:

Spinach Dip


  • 3 cups spinach
  • 1 medium avocado
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • garlic (optional) to taste


  1. Blend all ingredients in food processor or blender until smooth and creamy.
  2. Adjust seasonings to taste.
  3. Add water if you prefer it thinner.
