 Commitments for the New Year

Happy New Year 2014, Health-Seeker!

It's time to start anew.
What dreams are you dreaming?  What goals have you set?
If you haven't set goals, you are leaving it up to chance.
So, take some time before you get too far into the new year and get in touch with your visions and goals.  Then make some commitments —not resolutions, a commitment to yourself, to love and kindness.
Eat foods you enjoy that nourish you.  Avoid those that hurt.
Hang out with people who love and support you.  Avoid those who criticize.
Take time each day for self care and fun.
Listen to the radio show recording for this week.

My guests Arttemis and Laura shared interesting views on the value of thoughts, emotions and energy in creating health.

Above all, be true to who you are and what you desire most.

One of my VIP private coaching clients shared this saying that rang so true, that I share it with all my clients now.

“Don't exchange what you want most for what you want in the moment”

Over the holiday, I had an awesome time —with family togetherness and a little bit of family turbulence too.  That's the way families go —and life too.  There are the high times and the low times.  The trick is to truly appreciate the high times and let the low go by like water under the bridge.

My son is off for a school trip to Europe for 3 weeks, and we sent him off with mixed feelings.  We are excited for what he is going to experience…and we are going to miss him very much.  We likely will not see him again until May!

I look forward to seeing many of you in a week for my S.H.I.N.E. conference.  If you haven't secured your seat yet there is still time …barely.

Check it out here:

Until then – Live, Love and Play with all your heart.

I wish you much health, love, peace and joy in the new year.

With so much love and appreciation,

3 Simple Ways To Eliminate Pain And Inflammation with Food

In  all the years I’ve been working with people with autoimmune and inflammatory health challenges, I’ve always been amazed at just how many people believe that what you eat has no effect on how much pain and inflammation you experience.

Raspberry and Chia Seed Beverage

Well, I am here to tell you that nothing could be further from the truth. More and more reports from both science and medicine…in both the alternative and mainstream worlds are closing in on the destructive role that inflammation plays–and in reducing that inflammation via diet and lifestyle changes.

It breaks my heart to see so many people needlessly suffering. The worst part of all is that it just doesn’t have to be this way. A few simple changes in the way you eat can result in dramatic improvements in how you feel, sometimes in a matter of days. Continue Reading..

Nutritional Endocrinology, the Brain and Your time to S.H.I.N.E.

I am excitedly preparing for my S.H.I.N.E. conference next week.  It stands for Scientific and Holistic Investigation of Nutritional Endocrinology. I have life and practice-changing information to share.  I am working on the “done for you” assessments and protocols—two of the many things I will teach you at S.H.I.N.E. that I wish I had 20 years ago.

Lately, a few articles have crossed my desk that reinforce the amazing power of what I call “nutritional endocrinology.”  I truly believe it is the leading edge of health care, and learning it now will position you to powerfully stand out as a practitioner who gets results.

In fact, an upcoming webinar from Diagnostechs is all about treating depression and anxiety via balancing  the  neuro-endocrine system. Their webinars are only for licensed practitioners.

I designed S.H.I.N.E. and all my practitioner programs to be for health and wellness  practitioners and coaches of all kinds. Your intimate knowledge of nutritional endocrinology will help you get results with your clients suffering from depression, ADD, anxiety and sleep disorders as well as a whole host of other health challenges.
