Master the clinical patterns that connect stubborn weight, fatigue, cravings, inflammation, poor sleep and hormone symptoms, even when fasting glucose still looks reassuring.
Your client is doing many of the “right” things.
They’re eating better. Exercising. Taking supplements. Maybe they’ve already worked on their thyroid, adrenals, gut, hormones or stress.
Their routine blood work may not look particularly alarming.
But they still don’t feel well.
And you’re left wondering:
What did I miss?
Live Cohort: Enroll by October 8th
If you joined me for Strategies for Overcoming Hormone Resistance, you already know a hormone can be present in the bloodstream and still fail to create the response the body needs.
Again and again, one factor rises toward the top of that investigation: metabolic health.
But you don’t need to have attended that workshop to see why this matters.
When metabolic signaling begins to break down, it can influence multiple systems at the same time. That means improving insulin sensitivity and metabolic function may do far more than improve a glucose number.
It may help remove an obstacle affecting appetite, inflammation, energy, hormone signaling, cardiovascular function, body composition and more.
Metabolic health can become the first domino that makes several other systems easier to restore.
But recognizing that insulin resistance matters is only the beginning. The real questions are:
Practitioners need more than another insulin-resistance protocol.
They need a way to assess, connect the clues, prioritize, personalize, implement and reassess.
Insulin affects far more than glucose. When insulin signaling becomes disrupted, the effects can ripple through:
Insulin resistance can develop long before fasting glucose crosses the conventional “abnormal” threshold.
Fasting glucose inside the laboratory reference range does not tell you the entire metabolic story.
A client can be moving further into metabolic dysfunction while the markers most commonly used to screen for blood sugar problems still appear reassuring.
Meanwhile, the clues may already be showing up in their symptoms, insulin patterns, appetite, energy, body composition, sleep, stress physiology and hormone function.
You know this client. She eats reasonably well. She exercises. Her fasting glucose comes back “normal.”
And yet… she crashes in the afternoon. Her waistline is changing even though her habits haven’t changed much. She wakes during the night. Her cravings are harder to control. She struggles with brain fog or low energy. Her thyroid numbers may look better than her symptoms feel. And every new protocol seems to help a little, then stall.
It’s tempting to treat each problem separately:
But what if several of those seemingly separate problems are connected by the same underlying metabolic pattern? What if the case makes more sense when you stop looking at each symptom individually?
Learn to recognize metabolic dysfunction early, uncover what’s driving it and know what to do next.
Metabolic Mastery is an in-depth practitioner training designed to help you move beyond simply asking whether a client’s blood sugar is “high.”
You’ll learn how to investigate the larger metabolic picture, identify the factors contributing to insulin resistance and create a personalized strategy designed to restore insulin sensitivity and metabolic flexibility.
Instead of reaching automatically for:
…you’ll learn how to determine why the dysfunction is occurring in this particular person and which metabolic levers deserve priority.
The program combines
Practitioner Modules
Self-paced video, audio, transcripts, slides and resources — unlimited access.
Live Clinical Support
Office hours, clinical application calls, and new trainings and lab reviews monthly.
Client-Ready Program
A complete nine-week metabolic implementation program you can model with clients.
so you can move from knowing more about insulin resistance to becoming much better at solving metabolic cases.

so you can move from knowing more about insulin resistance to becoming much better at solving metabolic cases.
Metabolic Mastery teaches you to stop asking only:
“Is their blood sugar high?”
and start asking:
“What’s their glucose pattern telling me about their insulin, metabolism and early dysfunction?”
You’ll learn to look at symptoms, history, routine chemistry, insulin patterns, post-meal responses, food response, lifestyle, stress, sleep, movement and timing — and connect them through recognizing critical patterns.
The goal is to recognize the pattern while there is still tremendous opportunity to change it, before blood sugar dysregulation progresses into more entrenched insulin resistance, metabolic dysfunction and chronic disease
Because there is no one insulin-resistance protocol that is right for everyone.
Two people can eat the same meal and have very different responses. Two clients can follow the same fasting schedule and experience opposite outcomes. One person thrives on a strategy that pushes another person further into stress physiology.
Metabolic Mastery gives you the physiology and clinical reasoning skills to understand the difference. Tap each phase of the clinical process:
Assess
Gather the full picture — symptoms, history, routine chemistry, insulin patterns, post-meal responses, lifestyle, stress, sleep, movement and timing.
That is Metabolic Mastery.
11 Practitioner Modules
Learn how insulin resistance can develop long before fasting glucose rises, how compensation can keep standard markers looking normal and how fatigue, cravings, stubborn weight, inflammation and hormonal symptoms can reflect the same metabolic pattern. You’ll learn to recognize it earlier and interpret the case more accurately.
This is where the detective work gets deeper. Learn the laboratory markers, clinical patterns and advanced blood-sugar assessment strategies that can reveal dysregulation long before fasting glucose does. Learn how to use self-monitoring and post-meal responses to gather useful information from your client’s real life.
Learn how food quality, macronutrient balance, key nutrients, herbs and individual physiology affect insulin sensitivity. You’ll learn to adjust diet based on glucose response, metabolic patterns and client tolerance rather than relying on generic food rules. Create customized plans for your clients that actually work. They’ve already tried the generic protocols.
Learn how cortisol and HPA-axis dysregulation can raise glucose, impair insulin sensitivity and distort post-meal responses. Learn to recognize stress-driven metabolic patterns and factor sleep, meal timing, training load and stress physiology into your care plans.
Learn how muscle mass, contraction and training type affect glucose disposal and insulin sensitivity, then use exercise timing, intensity and frequency to build practical movement strategies clients can sustain.
Use Sleep to Improve Metabolic Regulation
Sleep can shift insulin sensitivity, appetite signalling, cortisol and glucose control within days. You’ll learn how sleep duration, quality and circadian timing shape metabolic response, and how to recognize when poor sleep is undermining an otherwise solid plan. Learn how to help your clients restore their sleep quality to make big shifts.
Learn how meal timing, movement, sleep and circadian rhythms influence insulin, leptin, cortisol and glucose response. You’ll learn to identify when timing, rather than the intervention itself, is limiting results and adjust the plan accordingly.
Keto is neither the answer for everyone nor something to automatically avoid. Learn how ketogenic diets affect insulin, glucose regulation and fuel use, who may benefit and where they can create problems. You’ll learn to assess fit based on physiology and metabolic context rather than ideology or trend.
Learn when fasting can help and when it can hurt. Learn the mechanisms by which fasting affects insulin sensitivity, glucose regulation, cortisol and fuel use, and how those effects change with metabolic context. You’ll learn who’s likely to benefit, when fasting becomes an added physiologic stressor and how to adjust timing, duration and frequency based on client response.
Learn how to turn assessments and lab findings into a focused, sequenced plan that prioritizes the highest-leverage factors first. You’ll know what to address now, what can wait and how to build a plan that sets your clients up for success.
Knowing the science matters. Being able to teach it, communicate it and implement it is what changes your clients’ lives. Learn how to translate metabolic concepts into clear client education, create programs around your expertise, and turn better client outcomes into a reputation for solving problems other practitioners may have missed.

I did not discover the importance of early insulin resistance because I looked like the stereotypical metabolic patient. Quite the opposite.
I had spent decades eating a whole-foods, plant-based diet. I was active, lean and energetic. And my fasting blood glucose looked great.
Then I started measuring what happened after I ate. That changed everything.
Foods I assumed my body handled beautifully produced glucose responses I never would have discovered from fasting glucose alone.
My own experience — combined with decades of clinical pattern recognition — made one thing impossible for me to ignore: we cannot wait for the obvious diagnosis, and we cannot assume that a person who appears healthy on the surface is necessarily metabolically resilient underneath it.
That realization became an important part of the assessment approach I now teach practitioners.
We cannot wait for the obvious diagnosis.
Because practitioners do not need another giant list of interventions.
You need a way to think. A way to recognize patterns. A way to decide what matters most. A way to explain the physiology so your client understands why you are asking them to change. And a way to reassess so you know whether what you are doing is actually working.
Move from: “What supplement should I give for insulin resistance?”
to: “What is driving this person’s metabolic dysfunction, and what is the highest-leverage way to restore balance?”
That distinction is what creates mastery.

Dr. Ritamarie is the founder of the Institute of Nutritional Endocrinology and the creator of the Nutritional Endocrinology Method.
For more than 30 years, she has helped health and wellness practitioners understand the relationships between nutrition, functional assessments, genetics, hormones, and metabolic health.
Her systematic approach helps practitioners move beyond one-size-fits-all protocols and uncover the interconnected imbalances contributing to stubborn symptoms.
Her mission is to transform how healthcare is practiced by equipping practitioners with the clinical knowledge, critical-thinking skills, and confidence to solve complex cases and empower lasting change.
Yes. Metabolic Mastery is the updated evolution of that training, now organized as an expanded 11-module curriculum that includes dedicated material on ketogenic diets and intermittent fasting, plus the live clinical experience.
No. The foundational training is self-paced. The live experience is there to deepen application and give you access to current teaching, support and case-based learning. Everything is recorded so you can watch anything you miss live and review as needed.
You receive unlimited access to the core prerecorded Metabolic Mastery curriculum, with six months of live support included in this cohort.
The program serves practitioners from multiple backgrounds. Apply the material according to your own training, credentials and legal scope of practice.
The program includes done-for-you practitioner resources you can use with your clients and patients, and The Complete Sweet Spot Solution client program you can use to model as you create your own.
Metabolic Mastery is an in-depth practitioner mastery course. You receive a certificate of completion when you complete the required modules and pass the required tests. It is not the same as the separate NEPT practitioner certification.
Perfect. This is not intended to teach you merely what insulin is. It is designed to deepen your ability to recognize hidden metabolic patterns, interpret the case in context, choose the highest-leverage interventions, and adapt when a client does not respond the way a textbook says they should.
No. The point of those modules is to understand when those tools make sense, when they do not, and how to match the strategy to the physiology rather than forcing a trend onto every client.
Fatigue that will not lift.
Weight that will not move.
Cravings that keep returning.
Thyroid symptoms that persist.
Sleep that remains disrupted.
Hormones that look “better” on paper while the client still does not feel better.
You can continue addressing each piece individually — or you can become much better at recognizing the metabolic pattern connecting them.
