A glass filled with a thick, green smoothie sits on a wooden surface. Reminiscent of a vegan baklava recipe's richness, the smoothie appears creamy with visible bubbles on the surface.

  • 1/4 teaspoon Oregon grape
  • 1/2 teaspoon reishi extract powder
  • 1 teaspoon broccoli sprout powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon fo-ti ho shou wu
  • 1/4 teaspoon milk thistle seed extract powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaga
  • 1/3 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 tablespoon sesame tahini or coconut oil
  • 1 capful liquid minerals e.g., Sunwarrior Liquid Light Fulvic Acid Minerals
  • 2 tablespoons hemp seeds
  • 1 handful of arugula
  • A few sunflower sprouts
  • 1 tablespoon chlorella
  • 2 drops lemon essential oil
  • 2 drops peppermint essential oil
  • 2 drops Young Living “Thieves” essential oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon stevia powder
  • 4 drops chocolate liquid stevia
  • 1 teaspoon Jerusalem artichoke syrup

Instructions

  • Prepare the Base: Boil water and brew the licorice root tea bag in one cup and holy basil (using a tea ball) in another. Let them steep while you prepare the other ingredients.
  • Build the Elixir: Place all the dry ingredients into your blender—cordyceps, astragalus, reishi, chaga, Oregon grape, broccoli sprout powder, fo-ti, milk thistle seed powder, shredded coconut, and chlorella.
  • Add Fresh Ingredients: Toss in the sesame tahini, hemp seeds, arugula, sunflower sprouts, and liquid minerals for added texture and nutrients.
  • Blend with Liquid: Pour the brewed tea into the blender and blend everything until smooth and liquid. Adjust thickness by adding more coconut or seeds if desired.
  • Flavor the Mix: Add the essential oils, stevia powder, chocolate liquid stevia, and Jerusalem artichoke syrup to the blender. Blend once more to combine and taste-test.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Pour the elixir into your favorite mug or glass and savor its warmth and rich, nourishing flavor.

Notes

*Do NOT use Licorice root if you have a history of high blood pressure or glaucoma.

Tips and Variations

  • *Licorice-Free Option: If you have high blood pressure, substitute the licorice tea with vegetable broth, nut milk, or plain hot water.
  • Texture Choices: Use coconut cream for a richer consistency, or try pumpkin seeds for an extra creamy texture.
  • Spice It Up: Add ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, or cardamom for a chai-inspired twist.
