Did you know that children laugh an average of 300 times a day? Adults? Just 10 laughs a day. A study from Japan published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, suggests that laughter can alleviate inflammation of the skin for up to two hours at a time.

As you know, inflammation is a major underlying issue in disease.

Could laughter be one of the tools you use more of this year to help alleviate stress, and heal your body and mind?

According to Dr. Madan Kataria, the founder of laughter yoga, laughter also improves digestion and releases chemicals like neuropeptides that have antioxidant properties.

Apart from this, laughter is a good exercise. It's an ab workout, and it exercise the diaphragm and associated muscles. It fully oxygenates the body and gets rid of waste matter and toxins.

Laughter strengthens the immune system, thus reducing the risk of infections and disease and helps boosts antibodies.
